LASERDYNE® 430 Additive Manufacturing platform is a flexible direct deposition solution for small parts fabrication and reworking, repairing activities which ensures a reliable process outcome. Based on Laserdyne laser processing platform the product combines high structural integrity, movement’s precision and efficient control of the Additive Manufacturing additions (powder feeder and inert gas supply).

Laser Metal Deposition machines are equipped with software able to elaborate free form geometries and to create the complete laser path in order to realize the component. The CAD model is processed and sliced, creating the scanning path per each layer; at the final path the file is converted in a code, compatible with the machine and CNC control system. The software is able to manage different degrees of freedom, depending on the kind of equipment and complexity of the geometry. The end-user will be able to program and control the machine depending on its specific kind of applications.

The smaller Laser Metal Deposition machine of Prima Additive offers high accuracy and a reliable process with high deposition rate. Designed to be easily adapted for different laser processes can accommodate metal additive applications with high quality results and minimum post-processing requirements. An innovative laser head for higher production flexibility

Several applications may demand diverse requirements in terms of stand off distance and build rate. Therefore, LASERDYNE® 430 is equipped with an innovative laser head which allows optimization of the building, reworking or coating of parts. Inclined geometries can be more easily printed with varied deposition rates.

3-axis CNC controlled motion, inert atmosphere and a full CAM suite

A 3-axis CNC system with embedded multiple crash protection, class 1 laser safety enclosure, easy access and load position. The option of a rotor-tilt table can increase the flexibility of the machine offering two more axis to the system for more complex applications. An integrated powder feeder with 1 to 4 hoppers (1.5 lt), the creation of inert atmosphere in the processing area and the Prima CNC control and CAM software provide to the customers the proper tools to set up the machine according to their needs.

Suitable for R&D purposes, parts fabrication and reworking applications in a wide range of materials

LASERDYNE® 430 is an open Additive Manufacturing platform where the customers have access to the main parameters of the system and can develop their applications in collaboration with Prima Additive. Always oriented to get the most of the 3D printing technology, the particular product can be used for material and process characterization/optimization, the addition of internal and external features, coating deposition and repair or build up activities on existing parts.
