On November 23, Prima Additive and Fondazione Amaldi signed an important cooperation agreement. Signed at Prima Industrie Group’s Headquarters and Technology Center by the chairman Gianfranco Carbonato and by the president of the Fondazione, prof. Roberto Battiston, this agreement connects Prima Additive with Fondazione Amaldi, a very important national hub for what concerns applied research and technologies for Space sector.
The agreement aims to strengthen research capabilities and technological development of both organizations, with the purpose of bringing Industry 4.0 innovation to the production chain of components for space applications, thanks to Additive Manufacturing.
Among the objectives of this partnership, there is the challenge of bringing components realized with Additive Manufacturing to the Space.
In addition to its laboratories and researchers, the Fondazione will offer its network of public and private research centers, representing national excellence in the field of materials science.
The agreement represents a first, important, step towards a national 3D printing development program, that can support and develop the Italian technological leadership, particularly in strategic sectors like Space.
